Adorable folky homemade house bank with some bells and whistles. I smile every time I look at it. It is 5 1/2" by 5" by 6" tall. The little door opens. the railing in hand carved, the green checkerboard around the bottom of the front porch is hand carved little squares out of a solid piece of wood. The little 3 step is hand assembled. Everything is hand nailed with tiny nails circa late 1800-1910. The hole in the roof is large. My guess it is made to suggest paper bills would be appreciated or someone wanted the money inside and got frustrated and make the slot bigger! It is a great little house bank.
